Andamental, Andheri West

I am a half-eggitarian – an occasionally egg-eating vegetarian.
A few days back while travelling I saw “Andamental” – the name caught my attention & a mental note was made to visit this place soon. Located on off-veera desai road, adjacent to the CCD, Andamental is a small eatery whipping up some awesome anda dishes. Continue reading

Joey’s Pizza

When hunger strikes, a hero is needed. Joey’s pizza is surely a newly found hero for me.

Made the mistake of reaching at 9:30 pm on a Sunday and hence had to wait for an hour. However, when we were next on the list, we placed our order to save on the service period.

Two pizzas caught our attention. First was the ‘Brave Heart’ and second was the ‘Mushroom Delite’. To pick one over the other would have been a sin. And at that very moment, Joey unleashed its first super power, the Half and Half pizza concept that lets you order two different halves of pizzas, and the best part, for no additional cost. Our jain friend was pleased too as they offered him an option of 4-5 varieties, which at a pizza place is surely a luxury for him. He opted for the Mexican Bonanza. Continue reading

The Curry House

Dinner was delivered piping hot in well packed containers. The containers read ‘The Curry House’. Approached to try out their offerings (here’s the disclaimer 😉 ), I was quite excited to dig into the wonderful looking North Indian fare.

Started off with the Paneer Sufiyani Tikka, a decent beginning to the meal. It tasted good, mildly spicy and full of flavour. A refreshing change from the standard Paneer Tikka as this one was coriander-based.

Humble beginnings often lead to great endings.

Zobble

Bang on time arrived the parcel!
A Chicken Burrito Bowl and Nachos with beans.

Well packed and presented. The first look was quite impressive.

Nachos and Beans:
Nice crispy chips. However, they tasted and smelt like Senor Peppito chips. I see what you did there Zobble 😉 Nevertheless, the refried beans didn’t seem right out of some can. Well prepared and it made a good combo with the chips.Decent stuff for 50 bucks. Continue reading

The Curry House by Tanvi Oak

Yet another exciting tasting that had me travelling all the way to Andheri on a hot sunny afternoon. Team Eat Review Repeat was invited by The Curry House to try their food. Being a die hard fan of biryani, I just HAD to be there. If you’re a lover of all dishes Mughlai, read on.

Lemon Leaf by Meghana

I am a fan of Wowtables & I enjoy their set menu options. Saw Lemon Leaf on the list & decided to try it. It was also part of their beer festival for Millers.

Lemon Leaf in andheri west is the lane behind Infiniti Mall & its replaced a place called bubblegum (I guess). I had done the reservation but when I reached I was offered a table outside. Not quite happy with that, we decided to sit outside (later we moved inside). Since this was a WOWTables experience there is a separate menu. This was a 4 course meal along with Beers ☺

We tried all 3 the drinks on the menu.

Green Apple Lemonade – Fresh flavours, a little tangy with fizz.

South Of Vindhyas – The Orchid by Meghana

Priyal had visited South Of Vindhya’s a while back & couldn’t stop raving about the place. Had heard great stuff about this place from another friend who had visited SOV on Onam & had relished the Onam Sadya. So when we heard that they are celebrating their 15-year’s & have a special menu planned we were super excited ☺

Biryani Affair by Meghana

I am just a writer of this review as most the food ordered was non-veg & my choice was not considered 😦 but the food was reviewed by Biryani experts who have been eating biryani for a long time now, who understand how it’s cooked & all the other aspects.

Biryani Affair is an exclusive take-away place. The menu of Biryani Affair is absolutely filmy & we loved the names of the dishes. Short, sweet & extremely crisp menu makes the decision process really easy. Let me begin with saying – I had the smoothest ordering experience with Biryani Affair. The person taking the order was extremely cordial, knew all the details of the dishes, helped us choose the dishes & took the address correctly. A Big Thumbs Up!!!!!!

We ordered for Shah Jahan – Mumtaz Mahal Dumpukht Mutton Biryani (With Bones), Khandaani Dumpukth Chicken Biryani (With Bones) and Makhni Paneer Masala. We didn’t order for any paratha/roti, etc as we had them at home. Continue reading
